  • Douglas A. Ridout
    Founder, Chairman and CEO

    Douglas A. Ridout is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of GEN Logistics Systems, Inc. A successful entrepreneur, Mr. Ridout has more than 30 years experience in the transportation industry including land, sea and air modes. In addition Mr. Ridout also has had extensive hands-on experience in logistics management, warehousing, distribution, consolidation including import, export, customs house brokerage and government relations.

    Prior to the inception of GEN Logistics Systems, Mr. Ridout served for eight years as chairman of the George Little Press Corporation, a leading print and publishing company where he held 50% ownership. Previously, Mr. Ridout spent more than seven years building Peel Terminal Warehouses Ltd. a company he founded and owned focused on logistics management, warehousing, trucking and distribution. In 1972, the company became Multimodal Inc., one of the largest port facilities in Canada. Prior to Multimodal, Mr. Ridout was the owner and president of J. H. Moore and TransCanada Customs House Brokers. He was also chairman and owner of Paul Hedgegard Construction Company and Viking Vacation Homes.
