Michael J. Cipolla
Chief Financial Officer
Michael J. Cipolla is the Chief Financial Officer for GEN Logistics Systems, Inc., responsible for all accounting functions, treasury, accounts receivable and payable, central purchasing, central cash management, budgeting and business plans.
Mr. Cipolla has more than 15 years in the transportation and distribution, financial services, insurance and wholesaling industries. More recently, Mr. Cipolla held the position of Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration at Nedlloyd Lines USA Corporation in Atlanta, GA, with responsibility for both North and South America.
Prior to joining Nedlloyd Lines, Mr. Cipolla was the Treasurer and Chief Economist of CSX Intermodal in Hunt Valley, MD where he spent five years. Mr. Cipolla was responsible for evaluating new business and market opportunities, long range planning and forecasting, as well as managing cash flow and banking relations.
Mr. Cipolla also held the position of Senior Manager at Ernst & Young, managing projects for clients in the financial services, insurance and transportation industries, with a focus on implementation of decision support and financial information systems.
Mr. Cipolla also holds a Masters of Business Administration in Finance and Transportation from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science from Syracuse University with concentrations in Management Information Systems and Transportation.
