ProVision for Shippers gives shippers instant access to a new electronic marketplace of freight transportation services. Using ProVision’s unique Web-like interface gives shippers the ability to navigate and conduct business transactions using only three primary function buttons to Post Shipments, View Shipment Postings and View Shipments in Progress.

Just "Point-and-Click" to Post Shipments

The "Post Shipment" button allows shippers to post loads on the ProVision network using an electronic "RFP" template. The detailed, itemized template allows shippers to provide carriers with comprehensive shipment details, instructions and requirements.

The template contains easy-to-use selection menus to quickly complete shipment details such as value, equipment requirements, weight and measurement. Packaging and handling instructions can be completed simply by clicking on the drop down menu which provides a list of common choices to choose from.

In addition, the template also gives shippers the ability to complete other necessary requirements and provide specific instructions for carriers such as:

• Extra pickup, drop off or stop off
• Loading, unloading, inside delivery or no touch load
• Pickup or delivery appointment
• Ryan Recorder, exclusive use of truck and insurance
• Tarps, tubes, airbags, shrink wrap or skidded

Providing carriers with a comprehensive, itemized detailed set of shipment requirements using ProVision’s unique template gives shippers the ability to receive directly from carriers, an itemized bid detailing the cost of each component with no hidden fees or charges.

Using the electronic "RFP" template also gives shippers the convenience of maintaining a comprehensive drop down menu library of existing, modified or new posting templates. Shippers can save and modify templates for recurring freight movements, or create new templates.

View Bid Postings and Directly Select a Carrier of Choice

Using "Your Postings" button, shippers can view the status of postings, review bids from carriers and begin the carrier selection process.

Each bid that is received will contain a detailed cost summary including the name of the carrier bidding. To further narrow the carrier selection process, shippers can view a Carrier Profile, a comprehensive company profile providing the shipper with the company’s background, available references and a company Fact Sheet containing:

Award Bids Instantly, with the "Click of a Mouse"

To award a bid, the shipper simply selects the carrier and clicks the "Award Bid" button. The carrier will automatically be notified by the ProVision Network and can supplement either Fax or Pager notification as additional options.

Shippers can also track the progress and status of shipment postings. Using the system-generated shipment job number, shippers can view in-transit events, verify delivery and receipt of cargo.
